Miami Valley Christian Academy, and Dr. Douglas Reed & Associates.

Dave grew up in Oklahoma where he enjoyed all sports, reading, and music. He came to faith in Christ during his freshman year of college through the ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ. He later received a Master of Divinity degree (emphasis-Pastoral Counseling) from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (1988), and a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Loyola University of Chicago (1993).

Dave's passion is to see people grow spiritually, heal emotionally, and flourish relationally through God's grace and truth, time, and respectful accountability. It's a particular joy for Dave to see men set free and equipped to lovingly and courageously serve their church, friends, wives and families. This often happens wonderfully in small groups.

Michael Leahy is a recovering sex addict and the founder and executive director of BraveHearts, an organization dedicated to increasing the public’s awareness of the hidden dangers and long-term consequences of pornography consumption. Before launching BraveHearts in 2002, Michael was a sales executive in the computer industry and worked

for blue-chip corporations like IBM, Unisys, and NEC. He also worked for a number of mid-sized and small businesses. Michael is the father of two boys, Chris (22) and Andrew (14); his first marriage ended in divorce in 1998 after his thirty-year relationship with pornography escalated into a self-destructive affair that exposed a lifelong struggle with sexual compulsivity and addiction.

Now ten years into recovery, Michael has appeared on numerous national broadcast and print media programs like ABC’s 20/20, The View and USA Today as an expert on the subjects of pornography, sexual addiction, and the impact sex in media is having on our society. He’s shared his compelling story and expertise in churches, at conferences, and with over 100,000 students on more than 200 college campuses worldwide in his critically acclaimed, multimedia-intensive live speaker presentation called “Porn Nation: the Naked Truth.” Michael is remarried and currently resides with his wife, Christine, in the Washington, D.C. area.  For more information on Michael and his work go to www.bravehearts.net
